AGM reminder and free CPD

A reminder that our AGM and will take place at the New Club, Princes Street, Edinburgh on 7th February 2018- timings below.
After the AGM there will be CPD for 1.5 hours which is open to FLAGS Arbitrators and people who are not trained, but who are interested in finding out more about arbitration as a dispute resolution method in family matters.The training will cover 'Barriers to arbitration: what's stopping you?'. There will be a review of some of the commonly asked questions and we will give you the skills and knowledge to be able to respond to the queries that people raise, including: how to get an arbitration up and running; the enforceability of awards; selection of arbitrator; costs, and lots more.
There is no charge for attendance but you need to reserve your place by contacting our Secretary, Gillian Crandles.
At the AGM consideration will be given to the proposal to adopt a new constitution and code of practice for arbitrators, which can be found in the resources section of this site.

4- 4.30 Tea and Coffee
4.30- 5 AGM
5- 6.30 Training (led by Sheriff Sheehan and Rachael Kelsey)
6.30- 8 Drinks and canapes
